Valentine's Bacon Bouquet

Ingredients

12 Slices of rashers of Henderson's streaky bacon

Toothpicks

Kebab skewers

Tinfoil

Muffin tray

String

Optional: Kraft paper (or use a paper bag), ribbon, parsley

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 190 degrees C, and cover your muffin tray with tinfoil (this will help with collecting the grease).

Step 2

Lay out your bacon. Starting at the thinnest end of your strip of bacon, start rolling into individual roses. You’ll want to keep them rolled tightly on the fattier side to get the rosette shape for your bacon flower.

Step 3

Once you’ve rolled each bacon rose, secure the end with a toothpick. Now add two to three more toothpicks around the rose so that the toothpicks will sit on the edges of each muffin cup, leaving the bacon to hover above it and cook evenly.

Step 4

Bake your bacon bouquet for about 40 to 50 minutes. Allow to cool.

Step 5

Use each kebab skewer as the stem and arrange your dozen bacon roses with kraft paper around or place into a vase. Give to your Valentine and take a photo of their reaction. Enjoy!
