The Classic Bacon Butty


Henderson's Streaky Bacon

Fresh white bread (substitute ciabatta, sourdough or five grain)

Sliced onion (red onion is sweeter)


Glass Eye BBQ sauce 


Olive oil



Step One

On a medium heat, add a little olive oil and fry your sliced onions for a few minutes, then add your streaky bacon alongside until bacon is crispy and onions are clear and soft.

Step Two

Butter bread and add your bacon, followed by BB sauce, then onion. 

Add mayonaise, pepper to taste.

Optional Twist

Swap your mayonnaise for french whole grain mustard, and add a slice of swiss cheese. This is fantastic on a rye bread bacon butty!
